I cannot tell you how many hundreds of hours I spent playing F-19 Stealth Fighter on my Commodore Amiga 600, so I was thrilled to discover that it is now available for modern computers on Steam here!

The joy of playing this game is of course tied into playing the game in a stealthy manner, for example flying low and slow into enemy territory to reduce your radar signature, then taking some photographs or knocking out a vital target with a bomb before escaping back to an airport or carrier landing, all while avoiding enemy aircraft and SAMs. It requires patience, but it is great fun!

The fact that such old games as these (this one dates from the late 1980s) are still available for modern machines is why I love PC gaming (and my Alienware x51), which is something that is very difficult to replicate on consoles. The PC gaming catalog is vast and spans decades.

Also did I mention that F-19 Stealth Fighter was designed by Sid Meier?
