I am happy to announce the 1.2.4 release of the Alpha Framework has be completed. The focus of this release was on improved performance. The following major enhancements are included:

• Redis and APC implementations provided for AlphaCacheProviderInterface.
• Tag search engine now caches search results.
• Minified any outstanding .js and .css files.
• Many more bug fixes and usability improvements.

This will be the last release of Alpha 1.x, as the next release will be 2.0.0 which will include some backwards-compatibility breaks to introduce some important refactors. See the 2.0.0 milestone on Assembla for details.
