One shortcoming that I discovered when migrating Alpha from JQuery UI to Twitter Bootstrap is that the Javascript programmer API for Bootstrap dialogs (or modals) is far more limited¹ than that of the JQuery UI dialog².

To mitigate this, someone has developed the bootstrap-dialog library, which is far closer to the functionality that JQuery UI dialogs provide. Check out the extensive demos page for working examples.
