The Life and Times of Nikola Tesla

I have just updated my book review page to include a review of Wizard: The Life and Times of Nikola Tesla : Biography of a Genius (Citadel Press Book) by Marc Seifer, an excellent and extensively researched biography of this enigmatic inventor. It is a great book about a great man, who is responsible for numerous inventions that we all use in our everyday lives, such as AC power generation, remote control, various inventions around radio and wireless technology, and bladeless turbine engines.

The book also covers his many eccentricities, such as his desire to communicate with Martians, never sleeping for more than a few hours each night, and remaining celibate for his entire life. Finally there is all of the intrigue around the confiscation of his papers by agents of the US government after his death, many of which have never been released since.
